MY APPROACH

I am a lover of any and all forms of artistic expression. I find acting as the most sincere exploration of the human condition and singing is an extension of your soul. Both create one of the most sincere forms of storytelling. ​As an actor, I am driven to find independent thinking, and driven characters who venture to share a new idea, teach or endow the audience with something after they leave their performance. This has led me to purse my career in acting for theatre, film and in improvisation.  ​Singing is truly that, telling the story written on the page. This is my teaching philosophy. Looking at the words, musical phrases, historical background and how each song fits into the world in which was created, we find the character, intention and motivation to sing and soar!I approach the art of singing through the Bel Canto singing method to bring out your natural, authentic voice. We focus on opening up your air passages to make singing feel as natural as possible, and an extension of speaking and breathing. Singing should feel comfortable, not forced, pushed or a stretch. But, most importantly, I want this to be fun, enjoyable, and something you look forward to doing. NOT a chore! ​I would love to speak to you either before you would be interested in offering a part or interested in taking lessons from me. I always commit myself to be the best version of myself for your project, or your journey.
